Listing rules

List a real piece of HVAC equipment, a genuine part or a service, identify the model and refrigerant type accurately, show every known fault and set a real price. Safety and licensing claims need evidence, not guesswork.

Welcome here

✓ Split systems, ducted and packaged units, commercial condensers, compressors, controllers, ductwork, filters and genuine replacement parts
✓ New and used equipment listed with the exact model, refrigerant type, condition, known faults and included fittings
✓ Sealed, factory-supplied refrigerant cylinders with an intact original label, sold only between parties entitled to handle them, and safe local collection arrangements
✓ HVAC installation and service work offered by people who hold every licence required for the work they advertise, including a current ARCtick licence for any refrigerant work
✓ Wanted ads that clearly describe the equipment or part being sought

Not allowed

✗ Stolen equipment, altered or removed serial and compliance labels, counterfeit products, or anything you cannot lawfully sell
✗ Recalled, electrically unsafe or illegally modified equipment, including items presented as usable when they are really only fit for parts
✗ A corroded outdoor cabinet, damaged isolation switch, unsafe wiring or other fault concealed by wording such as untested or as is
✗ Refrigerant offered decanted, unlabelled, in a non-approved cylinder, or by anyone without the ARCtick licence required to handle it
✗ Claims that equipment, wiring or an installation is approved, compliant or certified without current evidence that applies to that property and work
✗ Placeholder, joke, duplicate or bait listings, and listings whose real purpose is advertising an unrelated business
✗ Weapons, controlled substances, general household goods or anything unrelated to HVAC equipment, refrigerant handling, installation or maintenance

Moderation

Listings publish immediately and are checked afterwards, with reported listings looked at first. We may take down a listing, restrict an account, or ask a seller to back up a safety, licensing or compliance claim with evidence. Whoever reports a listing is not identified to the seller.
